Sri Lanka Photo Trip Program:

Day 1: November 22 – We will begin our journey towards Sri Lanka by plane.

Day 2: November 23 – Our guide will meet us at the airport and we will have a 3.5-hour journey to Dambulla with our special vehicle and we will go to Pinnawella, our first stop. Pinnawella is one of the largest elephant orphanages in the world. Here we will be able to see baby elephants and will take photo of them in the nature, by the river and in the greenery. On the way to Pinnewella, we’ll take a photo break if we see anything interesting along the way.

Day 3: November 24th – Today we will see Sigiriya quite interesting and has a structure that reminds me of the ancient city of Peru. Sigiriya has already earned the rightful place on the UNESCO world heritage list. We will see the huge mass of statues carved on a rock. This isn’t just a rock. There is an ancient temple in the woods carved into the rock, and there is plenty of photographic material. In the middle of the day, we will visit the villages in the region. The villagers are extremely hospitable, they will let you take pictures and take pictures in their homes and even during lessons.

Day 4: 25 November – Today we’re on our way to Kandy. There will be a second visit to a non-tourist village. We will be the guests of the villagers’ houses, and we will take photos of them. We will also attend a very interesting temple in Kany and a ceremony at this temple. It’s a picture plateau.

Day 5: November 26 – After breakfast we will go to Nuwara Eliya, to visit the fields of Ceylon tea and take photos. We’ll climb about 2000 meters by car and of course we’ll see great landscapes along the way. This is one of the greenest places in Sri Lanka. We will spend a great part of the day by taking photos of the people working in the tea fields and the photos of the villagers.

Day 6: November 27 – Early in the morning we will head to Yala National Park. Our way will take about 6 hours. Our goal today is to stop and take photos and reach Yala. So there will be a day when we’re going to take photos all day without much rush. If we can catch the afternoon, we will visit the Katharagama temple.

Day 7: November 28 – In the early morning we will take a stroll in the Yala National Park. Some of the park, which is spread over an area of 979 square kilometers, is open to visitors, and we are going to take pictures of this part. In this park where 215 different bird species live, we will spend a pleasant day with animals. In the afternoon we’re on our way to Galle. Interesting architectural buildings were built in the 16th century when Portuguese people arrived. We will also take pictures of fishermen fishing on the poles that we sigh as we see here. I think this moment will be one of the most anticipated moments of the trip.

Day 8: November 29 – We’re going to take pictures of the fishermen fishing on the poles this morning. The day before, if we couldn’t catch some frames we get them today. We will visit Galle to take a little sea break.

Day 9: November 30th – Today we will photograph fishermen who go fishing with multicolored boats. After that we will have some free time, we can shop, take photos or swim as we wish. However, we will have to complete all of these within a few hours and be transferred to the airport. We will reach our homes 1 December.

What we will do if we briefly summarize this trip; We’ll see and photograph the fishermen on the pole, the ancient rock of Sigiriya, the villages, the village life, the temples, the people working in the tea gardens, the elephants, the monks, the natural life park and the people praying in the temples.
