Approximately 250 km from Istanbul, to go Igneada you should go to TEM Demirköy side. Places you will pass are Saray, Vize, Poyrali, Demirkoy and the last stop is Igneada. On the way of Igneada you will see a sign as

Magnetic Field Forest, a little further there is Magnetic Field Fish Restaurant. At this place if you throw out of the gear of your car it goes to the uphill by self for a while than stop but never goes down, therefore this place name is Magnetic Field. To learn exact magnetic location of the plant you can ask the person at the restaurant.

In Demirkoy while you approaching to Igneada, you will see signs of Dupnisa cave. When the asphalt way finish you will go to 30 kilometers from a dirt road and you will reach the Cave Dupnisa. There are two caves, one is on the up the other on the down side. Bottom cave named as aqueous cave because, Velika River pass from in side of it. Upper cave call as dry cave, to see upper cave you should go 5-minute to rise up from a steep path. Dry cave is 900 meters long and it has connection with the bottom aqueous cave with 136 steps staircase. The length of the bottom cave is 1700 m. Dry cave is more reach with stalagmites and stalactites according to aqueous cave. Quite a large number of bat lives in bottom cave. In the reproductive season of the bats which is between November 15 – May 15 the aqueous cave is closed to visitors. Dry cave has completed the development, it also has less bat, according to aqueous cave therefore it is open all season. Dry cave temperature is 17 degrees, watery cave temperature is 10 degrees. Dupnisa has taken the name from the village which had same name, minorities were living here, at the war exchange time village became empty (around 1913). Since that time cave known by the villagers but it opened to visit in 2003.

To go Igneada from Dupnisa you don’t have to continue from a dirt road, there is another asphalt way 25 kilometers to Igneada. You will see on the way pine forest until Igneada, which is named as Longoz. Europe’s largest Longoz forest is here. Roots of the trees in water, it has wealthiest with various plants and with different birds. You can take beautiful human photos at Igneada coffee house. If you continue straight from the coffee you will see anchor if you turn to right side from here you will see lighthouse which is standing there since 136 years. This light keeping job goes from father to son since many years. Little white house on the middle of green grass and also on the edge of cliff gives a sense of freedom.

There is a border village 15 km to Igneada. Last point of the Begendik Village is in the military area. If you talk with soldiers they can open the border for you. There is a small and quite interesting bay, you will see on one side Turkish flag boats and 10 meters distance you will see Bulgarian flag boats. Also at Turkish side a huge Turkish flag, on the other side a church just 20 meters from the border with a Bulgarian flag in front. The name of the Bulgarian village is Rezova. Hiking and fishing, Bulgarians in the coastal are greeting you. I would like to remind you that, to take photo here is prohibited. When dinner time comes you can come back to Igneada and have something at Liman Restaurant. People are very genial here in this restaurant, you can have delicious fishes while you watch harbor from the hill.
