Today our last stop is Efteni Lake. You can ask where is this lake. If I speak to my name I was unaware that such a beauty is there,before I start taken photo. Efteni Lake within the borders of Duzce province in the Aydinpinar village. You should continue from TEM highway to Duzce, turn to Hendek and continue to Golyaka direction. Also down the road you will see very good images and nice villages.

Efteni Lake is a bird paradise. There are 150 different bird species. We been there three or four times but we sow only cormorant. Observation homes, reeds, and wooden bridges on the lake is makes Efteni a worth place to see. I suggest you to leave your car at the roadside, and go walking in the green which extending both sides of the lake.

Nearby the Efteni lake there is Guzeldere waterfall is located. This is Turkey’s highest waterfall, water flowing from the above 135meters. This information is located at the web site of the village Aydinpinar. If you go up from Efteni lake you reach the waterfalls, you should climb a little with the car. There are wooden houses you can accomodate for the weekends. We learned that these houses are rented by the forest enterprises. While you go to waterfall you see some ways you can reach from these ways to Kocayayla, Karduz, Torkul, Purenli, these are afew high plateaus in this area. The people who lives here the majority of Central and Eastern Black Sea, they are very hospitable if you want to eat something from their garden they offer to you much more.

In the meantime, I want to write what you can eat there. There is very nice restaurant the name is Aydinpinar, you have to eat there mushroom roasting.
